A highly visible component of the ONWARD Campaign has been the sale of brick pavers in various sizes that tell their own individual stories in just a few words. Almost 600 inscribed pavers are part of the first installation of the walkway.

W&I Receives Grant To Study Postpartum Depression In Teens
Researchers at Women & Infants Hospital believe some sort of psychosocial intervention could help ease the effects of postpartum depression in young mothers. To create and study the effect of such an intervention, they were recently awarded a three-year grant by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
Researchers Launch Study Of Opiate Use During Pregnancy
Researchers with the Brown Center for the Study of Children at Risk at Women & Infants Hospital are participating in a five-year international study called "Maternal Opioid Treatment Human Experimental Research" (MOTHER) to examine the use of buprenorphine instead of methadone to reduce the severity of neonatal abstinence in babies born to heroin addicted mothers.
